View this email in your browser NEW SERMON SERIES American culture is a culture of comfort. It’s being sold to us everywhere we look. We’re encouraged to do what we want, when we want, with whomever we want. If something is uncomfortable, we want to avoid it at all costs. The Christian faith, though, is just that: uncomfortable. This four-week sermon series will help us embrace, understand, and see the beauty and hope in the challenging realities of being part of God’s people. The final sermon of this series will be this Sunday, November 25. We will be decorating the church for Christmas, this Saturday, at 9:00 am. Everyone is encouraged to join! If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Corey. Coldwater of Lee's Summit is looking for winter coats for kids! You may drop them off at their Clothing Closet, call the office (816-786-0758), or contact Pearle Pruitt.  The annual Ladies' Night Out will take place on Monday, December 10th, at 6:00 pm. There will be a sign-up sheet at Guest Services. Please sign up before December 5! If you have any questions, speak with Charlie Minton or Charlotte Palmer. Please consider joining our rotation. Any amount of time you can contribute is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions, please contact Melody Jonas.  As the holiday season approaches, Coldwater is currently working toward collecting 360, 10-12 pound turkeys to distribute through their Food Pantry. These turkeys will go to families who need assistance with their holiday meals. If you would like to contribute to their efforts, a $25 donation is all it requires to cover the cost of an entire holiday meal for a family. Band practice Thursday evening is canceled. Practice will instead be held at 8:30 am on Sunday. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, everyone to eat at the Goodcents on Douglas between 4:00 & 8:00 because they get 30% of ALL proceeds during that time!
