From Pastor Dave
Paul, writing to the church in Philippi, said, "I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." (Philippians 1:3-5)
I really can't say it better than that. Pastor Corey and I are deeply grateful for all of the hard work, creativity, sacrifice, time, and effort that has led us from a first worship service together in April of 2015 until our grand opening last week on Christmas Eve. Time doesn't allow me to list every individual and every way in which we all came together for God's mission. But we did come together, and our Christmas Eve service was a powerful testimony to what God is doing in our midst. Thank you.
Now, of course, I need to mention that the journey is only beginning. In Philippians, Paul continues his opening greeting by saying, "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6)
Our work together as New Springs Community is just beginning as we head into 2016.
Let's keep the good work going.
I pray that your celebration of Christ's birth was filled with love, hope, peace, and joy. And I pray that in 2016 you'll hear the voice of God, grow the foundation of your faith, experience the surrounding love of Jesus Christ, discover God's unlimited power to do more than you can ask or imagine, and join God's mission.
